  • Drain Repair or Replacement –            A large portion of the plumbing system in your house is comprised of drain piping. Sometimes these pipes develop leaks due to age or damage or corrosion. When a leak occurs we can either repair or replace the drain pipe. Often times a leak is detected by the customer as a wet area in a ceiling or wall. Or there may be an odor coming from under the house or in a closet or attic space. Once we have determined the source of a leak in a drain system, we can offer our customers alternatives as to how to best proceed. We have experience with all drain line materials. Cast Iron, Galvanized and ABS are the most common materials. Copper drains are less common in residences but we have made many repairs in copper systems as well. If you suspect you have a leak in a drain, call us and we can offer you assistance in correcting the problem.Sewer Repair Tampa – The sewer pipe outside your home, often called the mainline sewer is another drain line that we can repair and if needed repclace. This pipe, usually a 4 inch diameter pipe made of sections of clay pipe, sometimes cast iron and in newer homes ABS pipe is the drain that connects your house to the city sewer, or in some case to your septic tank. Ocasional main sewer stoppages are common. However, when your sewer is slow or stopped on a more consistent basis there may be problems that need to be corrected. The most common issue with main sewers is root infiltration. Other causes can be a broken cracked or offset pipe damaged by shifting soil or settling. Sewer pipes are installed in sections and sometimes soil conditions allow or create a “belly” in a section of pipe where the pipe has sunk and tends to collect debris and build up to the point of a stoppage. The pipe section can also be raised by soil conditions or tree roots lifting the pipe, again leading to stoppages. When sewer stoppages persist, a newer technology of video inspection can be used. Using a fiber optic camera attached to a waterproof push rod we can send the camera down the sewer line from the house out to the city sewer. We can view this journey on a video screen and determine if there are problems with the line. If a problem is found, we can use our line locating sonar equipment to determine the location of the problem. This often allows a spot repair rather than a replacement of the sewer line.
